Guthrie’s Halloween Season
Halloween is approaching, and there are plenty of fun activities to enjoy in town throughout October.
On Halloween specifically, there are a few things you could do. You could go downtown and trick-or-treat around in the shops because all the shops downtown are giving out candy to people. Another similar thing you could do is visit the Guthrie Public Library and pick up candy from their trunk or treat event, where they hand out candy and trinkets in the parking lot. And of course, the most obvious thing to do on Halloween is trick-or-treat around in nearby neighborhoods.
There are also Halloween-related things you could do during the whole month of October and the surrounding months. You could go on a ghost walk, where you get a tour of all the haunted buildings, and you get to hear all the haunted ghost stories related to Guthrie. And the last thing I can think of that you could do during October is visit the Guthrie Haunts Scareground. You can pay around 30 dollars to get in, and if you are over 18, you can pay about 40 to 45 dollars for the scare actors to touch you and throw blood on you. The way it works is that you receive a ticket with a specific color, and you can walk around the entire area to collect food and other items. When they announce the color on your ticket, you wait in line and then enter the haunted house.
