To make time for it, the award for Best Original Score was presented during a commercial break. Nominee Hans Zimmer voiced his frustration over the decision, stating that it “feels a little bit ignorant.” Fans also shared their disappointment on social media, with one user calling it “so, so disrespectful to present this award during a commercial break.” Despite the backlash, the award ultimately went to Ludwig Göransson for his work on the soundtrack of Sinners.
