Roblox Sued

In August of 2025 a gaming platform called Roblox was sued by the state of Louisiana for lack of child safety against child predators, On August 9, 2025 a Roblox YouTuber called Schlep was Permanently banned from the platform for exposing pedophiles and child predators on Roblox, similar to a case in 2021 where Roblox sued a YouTuber called Ruben Sim for Harassment for reporting child safety concerns and inappropriate content on the platform.

  In 2022 the lawsuit was settled with Sim after he agreed to a permanent ban from the platform and paying $150,000 to Roblox.

 A family of a 15 year old teen boy is suing Roblox and Discord after the teen committed suicide after allegedly being groomed and extorted by a child predator he met on Roblox. Some cases related to Roblox have led to kidnapping, assault, and real-life abuse. 

Plaintiffs argue Roblox platform design which includes weak age verification, easy for adults to pose as children and interact with minors in game or experiences. 

The CEO of Roblox David Baszucki stated that he has visions to add dating style experiences to ID verified adults sometime into the future causing concern to parents and officials.
