OKC Daycare Catches Fire

A daycare in Oklahoma City caught fire on Friday after a car crashed into the building. School was in session when the accident and fire happened.

The daycare has since issued a statement, saying that all children and adults inside the building were evacuated, and nobody was harmed. The school is no longer in use following the incident, with the building being declared a total loss by the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

The daycare, La Petite Academy, was located in Yukon, Oklahoma. They were servicing 33 kids at the time of the fire, and 5 staff members were working at the time.

The initial accident occurred just before 4:45PM on Friday, when a sedan ran over the curb and crashed into the side of the building.

Following the crash, the building caught on fire. Everyone inside the daycare was evacuated to a nearby CVS parking lot, and the local fire department arrived to the scene not long after. Sadly, the building was greatly damaged.
