Upcoming Band and Choir Christmas Concerts

Guthrie High school is set to host two nights of musical talent while they prepare for their annual Band and Choir Christmas Concerts. The band will perform on the 15th, followed by the choir on the 16th; both events promise to showcase their students’ hard work and talent. 

The band concert, scheduled for the evening of the 15th, will feature many holiday favorites, including Snowscapes and Adrenaline Engines by the Symphonic band and March of The Tartars, Holiday Piece, and Christmas Festival by  the WInd ensemble. The Jazz Band Percussion Ensemble  will also be featured and present some wonderful pieces. The bands will then join to perform the traditional Sleighride. Under the direction of Mr. Blackburn, the band has been working diligently to perfect their performance. Attendees can expect an evening filled with dynamic music and impressive displays of skill from the young musicians. 

The following night, the choir will take the stage, presenting their concert under the guidance of Mr. Perring. Their program will include a variety of choir works, highlighting the vocal talents of the choir members. Their program will include many holiday favorites and the notorious Betelehemu which Alumni will be welcome to join. Both concerts are free to the public and will be held at the Masonic Temple, offering the community a wonderful opportunity to support the arts and enjoy the musical achievements of Guthrie High School students.
