Charter Oak Gifted $50,000

Over the summer, Charter Oak Elementary was given the opportunity to improve their Physical Education department after being awarded $50,000 in grants from; Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET), Healthy Schools Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma State Department of Education’s Competitive Physical Education Program Grant.

Charter Oaks Physical Education teacher Aaron Harbin expressed her gratitude through her social media, “These grants have gifted us some amazing equipment to increase opportunities for physical activity and physical education,” Harbin wrote.

“I could not have done this without the support of my principal, upper administrators, board of education, teammates, and the most amazing secretaries.”

The investment made in the physical education department included a $20,000 Playground structure, a $10,000 traverse climbing wall, and $10,000 worth of golf and other gym equipment.

The fundings made demonstrate the schools rising devotion towards keeping their students healthy and active during the day, giving them more opportunities to their physical education and their physical health overall.right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
