Soccer action continues at home on Friday, March 6, 2026, as Guthrie hosts U.S. Grant. Game times remain the same: Girls JV at 3:30 p.m., Boys JV at 4:30 p.m., Girls Varsity at 6:00 p.m., and Boys Varsity at 8:00 p.m. All games will again be played at the track between the high school and GUES.
Before the full slate of games begins, the Girls Varsity team will host Pathways Fine Arts on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the same location, giving fans an early opportunity to see the Lady Jays in action.
The Lady Jays are entering the season with strong momentum. In tournament play, the Girls Varsity team went undefeated, winning all three matchups in a single day. They defeated Lawton 3-2 at 9 a.m., Blanchard 2-1 at 11 a.m., and Bridge Creek 1-0 at noon. The team also secured an impressive 5-1 victory over Harding Charter in a preseason contest on February 17.
Players and coaches say the early success reflects months of hard work and preparation. From experienced upperclassmen to a promising new Girls JV goalkeeper, every roster is filled with athletes dedicated to improving and competing at a high level.
This season also marks a special year for the program’s three seniors: Abigail Christy, Liam Mueller, and Alejandro Sanchez. Their leadership and commitment have helped set the tone for a season built on teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.
While competition on the field is intense, the camaraderie within the program stands out. JV and Varsity squads support one another throughout every match, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and pride across the entire program.
With early victories under their belts and a full home schedule ahead, the Guthrie soccer teams are poised for an exciting spring season. Fans are encouraged to come out and support Girls JV, Girls Varsity, Boys JV, and Boys Varsity as they begin what is shaping up to be a memorable year for Lady Jay and Bluejay soccer.
